Arrive promptly at your practical location. Please refer to the time and directions provided in your confirmation email. Depending on the weather, you will first complete your 40-question, multiple-choice CAT (Common Assessment Test) at the designated location. Then on successful completion of CAT you will be doing your training and assessment on the Boat or PWC. The day normally starts at 7 am and lasts until early afternoon. Wear suitable clothing for the weather.

In Queensland, the RMDL and PWCL last for life
Yes, you will need to take the final certificate given to you after your practical assessment to a QLD Transport office and get them to add it to your license. It is a stand-alone license, so you do not require a car license to hold a marine license.
